01 — Where the pop begins
Makhana — the seed of the prickly water lily — is hand-gathered from wetland ponds near Darbhanga. Farmers dive for ripe pods at dawn, because a seed this particular can't be rushed by a machine.
We buy directly from three local farming cooperatives, above market rate, then air-pop each batch ourselves — so PurePop stays true to its name: pure ingredient, honest pop, nothing hiding underneath.
02 — How it's made

Harvest
Seed pods are hand-picked beneath lily pads, sun-dried, then cracked open to free the raw kernel inside.
Pop
Kernels are tossed in hot sand until they burst into the light, honeycombed puff you know — dry-popped, never fried.
Season
Warm puffs are tumbled with whole spices in batches under 20kg, so every piece gets an even, crunchy coat.
